ZL1's And Snow...

Hey all, just wondering...
How many people would be mad to know that their ZL1 was driven on salted roads in the winter, and stored outdoors with 2 inches of snow on the for a month? I live in Oshawa, and when they first came out, my dad and I went down to see them, and they were covered in snow, and 2 drove by into the lot on Stevenson rd which was a salted road. I have pictures, will add to post tomorrow, have to get to my home computer soon!

Anybody who does care needs to be kicked in the junk for being way uptight.

I'm sure they will survive.

My SS left Oshawa in December 2yrs ago. It was driven even further in snow and salt to get the stripes put on. The underneath is spotless still to this day

They will be fine.

I drive my SS all winter . The worst thing winter has done to my car is I have to switch back to stock wheels with winter tires. Anyone worried about 2 inches of snow must not realize we're driving camaros, not Bentley's.

It's quite obvious...you saw those ZL1's in the snow and then a hurricane destroyed the NE coast of the US. Also Canada had an earthquake...So...obviously...if a zl1 touches snow the earth blows up.

My SS is my daily driver and its just fine to drive it all year. I did get some different rubber though. My PZeros just didn't cut it in mid-west winters.

COPOS are not built in Oshawa. Those come out of GM performance Wixom plant near Detroit hand built.

quickly researched...
"The new COPO Camaros will be built using factory “body-in-white” body structures produced at the Oshawa, Ontario plant that manufactures regular-production Camaros. They are the same body-in-white body shells available to all racers under Chevrolet Performance part number 19243374."

http://media.gm.ca/media/us/en/gm/ne...0308_copo.html

and one more question, are the ZL-1 corvettes made in milford michigan, or detroit?

The body shell is made in Oshawa then sent to Wixom to be assembled and fabricated into a COPO.

Corvettes are made in bowling green Kentucky. I am assuming ZR1's are as well.
