Dyno Update and Meeting map

First things first,

The dyno is up and running. I got an email this morning stating that the dyno is up and running like a champ. They have already had a 2010 Camaro on to test her out. (Owners VR SS was the test car) So we will be spinning the big wheel of a freshly tuned and ready to roll dyno jet.

Second,

Sorry its a few day's late, but here is the meeting location for the Mall in Temecula. The big red circle is where we met for the last rain soaked event. It is supposed to be cooler next weekend so that should be a welcomed change from the HP gods. This is in the JC Penny's parking lot area.
There is a Mimi's on the left side of Winchester and I want to say a gas station on the right @ the turn in.

For those of you coming up from San Diego (off I-15N), You will want to exit off of Winchester Rd and head East (right off the ramp). Both right lanes turn right, but it is best to get in the far right lanes. If you come up the ramp in two rows, you'll be able to ensure both row's can make the right into the mall.

Everyone coming from all points North or West (off I-15S) you will make a Left off the ramp. Now this ramp is usually pretty shitty traffic wise due to the light at the top of the ramp. Again it is best to come in two rows and swing wide right during the left turn to ensure there are no problems getting into the mall parking lot. Unfortunately with the I-15N on-ramp coming across Winchester it tends to get congested on the overpass.

For those of you coming in from out of town, PM me if you want hotel info. Let me know price / quality and I'll get you the info on where I would stay based on what you are looking for. If you want to take part in the Temecula night life, I can get you that info too.

if you go one more exit off the freeway it's not as bad as the winchester rd exit...or it used to not be. it's starting to get more crowded though as people are figuring it out just a head's up though. you could do that, then come back down ynez rd toward winchester.

You DO NOT want to get off on Rancho California. Way too many accidents in that area due to having to remain in the slow lane of the freeway to get off the exit and be able to make the left onto Ynez. It is MUCH worse than Winchester now. People on the freeway don't realize that the slow lane is stopped and attempt to plow straight through. Plus, getting through all the lights back to the mall would lead to potential separation anxiety.

That entire stretch (Just south from Winchester all the way to 79) on the weekend gets pretty messed up with everyone going to Old Town, wine country, the shopping center, car dealerships and the casino's. 2-3 years ago, I'd say go for it, now not so much... I'd hate to see someone get their day ruined by a moron that wasn't paying attention to those big red breaklights.

I'm hoping where it is going to be so early on a Saturday that Winchester won't be bad. The mall doesn't open until 9am so it shouldn't be. Plus, there shouldn't be that many people coming from the west side of the freeway going east where most of the manufacturing companies are closed on the weekends.

the south bay folks that are meeting at the bank of america by the south bay galleria might just cruise on by the carl's jr folks. we'll probably just call up and see where you guys are at, or call when we're close so you can get on the freeway. then we'll catch each other on the freeway. it's easier this way, so we don't have to make a bunch of stops.

also, if we're running late (which we usually are), we will probably just meet you guys at BBK.

Time for the meet

If we meet up at the Mall between 8:30am-9:00am we will have time to get together, say our hello's and introduce our selves to the newer guys/gals in the group. We can coordinate the exit from the mall up to BBK (1.5 miles away) and get parked by 9:30am get the tour started and start making noise by 10:00am.

It is mostly just because it's the summer "tourist" season. between Oct-Apr, it isn't nearly as bad.
