2015 Lincoln MKC New Car Prep
My mom ordered a 2015 MKC and it just came in Thursday. I wanted to get some good protection on it ASAP so that's what I did this afternoon.
-Wheels cleaned with SCG Active Wheel Cleaner Plus -Tires cleaned with SCG APC -Washed with SCG Prep Wash -Clayed w/ Speedy Prep Towel & ONR lube -GTechniq Panel Wipe -GTechniq Exo v2 on all painted surfaces, including wheels (two coats) -GTechniq G1 Glass Sealant on all glass -Tires and trim treated with UTTG+ This car is freaking awesome. They left no stone unturned when building this car and I haven't found one single thing to complain about from a design or feature standpoint. It has a 2.3L EcoBoost and AWD so it's got plenty of pep and should be perfect in the snow. The color on this on is Smoked Quartz, which I really like. The interior leather is called Hazelnut and is incredibly supple and feels much higher quality than our Camaro seats (it should, for the price). The real wood trim on the inside is great and there is enough cool tech to satisfy even as big of a geek as myself. Ford's Sync Infotainment system absolutely demolishes the best GM has to offer IMHO. I'm basing this off of the many Cadillacs I've driven and worked on. Some finished pics:
