order coming in with wrong wheels

I just found out my Black Z is coming without the black wheels I ordered. Dealer got the invoice and that is when he noticed it.
I really don't think the dealer is going to do anything to make it right. He offered to order the black wheels at cost. Getting a price now. If I take the car what are the odds of finding someone to trade wheels? Anybody out there that has the black wheels want to trade? If I pass and reorder I will have to wait for a 2013.

IMHO, you're getting the better looking wheels on the ZL1. I know this "murdered" out crap is all the rage in the last few years, but I think it makes the ZL1 look somehow cheaper, for lack of a better word.

there are people buying cars on the ground so in time you may find somone. do you hate the style of the wheel?

the wheels are going to expensive at cost even.

it does not cost much to have the wheels powedercoated black. i would make the dealer do that if you don't hate the design. I would make him eat the cost and powdercoat the 5 spokes black. then accept this car.

you could even two tone them like the carbon concept or something.

The Black Wheels are standard....so does the invoice you are seeing show the extra cost for the polished 5 spoke wheels?

If not you're getting the Black wheels.

The dealer must have specifically ordered the polished wheels by mistake for you not to be getting the black ones...seems kinda weird to me

Well IMHO It really doesn't make it look cheaper....it makes it look more agressive.

Still, it would be a boring world if we all agreed on everything

If the dealer screwed up then the dealer should order the correct wheels at no charge to you. Their mistake not yours why should you have to pay anything.

so what does your invoice say. black rims or no. i thought they were standard on the zl1 and your had to request the other ones. i would be pissed especially if u wanted the black ones. you know anybody else locally that ordered a zl1 and you can look at there invoice

...yeah, you hit the nail on the head saying for "lack of a better word".... Is it vogue with the blacked out look these days...perhaps, it's different, and I for one like it....being from the SS Crager days..., but....."murdered" out is a bit harsh won't you agree?

I ordered polished and auto. but changed to black wheels and 6 speed. The 6 speed got changed but not the wheels. The invoice does have the add for polished

I take that as a insult...I happen to think the black is sharp as hell

I really don't think anything on the Z looks cheap....

I too agree that the black wheel look is played out. Not to mention I wouldn't want a car like a ZL1 with black wheels yet an RPO stating polished.
