new e85 450lph walbro
Is there any way to rig up one of these into a stock fuel bucket?will the stock fuel pump controller or whatever not handle this? I know squash was testing a dual returnless setup and i guess it didnt work because they had to come up with a separate fpcm and disable the factory one why is this? I mean i dont expect a vender to be like yea buy a $250 pump and a few dollars in wires and fittings intsead of buying my $850 setup but has anyone else tried or even thought about this? I know lingenfelter also sells a 340lph pump that i havent really heard anything about. Just looking at some other options i think i will be just out of power range for the zl1 pump but wont need a twin 400lph and would rather have a big single than twin pumps and dont want to have to fool with boostapumps or hobs swithes or whatever

I know the Bosch one doesn't got the stock bucket, and I am with you, I wanted to save a bit with the pump. However, I ended up ordering a twin setup. There really isn't a way to avoid it unless you run the eliminator pump, and the twins are better at that point.

Here's the issue:
The 2010-2011 Camaro uses pulse width modulated control systems. For durability reasons LPE does not recommend using the TI/Walbro gerotor type GSS pumps or other pumps not designed and tested for use in pulse width modulated applications. So, I wouldn't recommend using it. It sounds like a big pain to get it to work right, and if it did work, someone would be using them. Walbro makes really nice stuff, and is popular with other cars, but they use the geroter. I know my STi would work well with the Walbro, and that is what I will use eventually. |

Well you can try it, but being the first to use a fuel system isn't my idea of fun. You could contact Squash, they use Walbro in their pumps. However, that system is like $1500. Based on that, I would say that there are a ton of parts needed to make it work.

The Squash system uses the stock bucket.

Yes, a modified one. The pump is like 800 bucks, but all the parts to make it work are 600+. I just went through this, and ultimately decided on the LPE for the ease of install.

Will the GM fscm handle just a single 450ph? And what kind of power will that support?

The stock module can't drive a single, or twin 450s - nor are they meant to be used that way, even if it could. You'd have to go to a return system and an external regulator
