America's Cup

I've sailed for many years.

This boat is simply amazing. I surely can't afford it, however this thing looks like a blast to sail.

I used to sail Hobbie 18's and they where a blast. Last year we went down to the St Maarten and sailed on Stars & Stripes 87 (US 55) which won the cup back from the Aussies. That was a real fun trip.

Yes it was the first episode of this season! It was awesome!!! And, James in the boat won, but it was a long rough ride...

Love sailing btw, Cardinal 46 is my vessel of choice!

I used to sail Lasers a lot, as well as other bigger boats on some longer races (Transpac). Used to crew on a Santa Cruz 50 for quite a while.

I have other things I need to deal with first, but I'm hoping to get back into sailing with something like a J-24 or Moore 24.

Done J boats, they are fun! Dream boat for me would have a windless, and the capability to raise the mainsail, genoa, and spinnaker with the touch of a button. If it could clean itself too that would be nice

Boats are as bad as cars as far as modding goes.

Really? I've never modded a boat. Had a Hacker-Craft built in 2008 (its a gorgeous mahogany speedboat with 16 coats of varnish) that had an 8.1 liter Crusader in it. I suppose I would want to have it blown somehow, but that's not really a good idea, and it was already plenty fast!

Oh here's a pic

Nice boat.

I meant in sailing. When you race, you buy sails. And upgraded rigging. And more sails. And cool new instrument.

Really...hole in the water into which you pour money.
