There are tons of threads in the V8 section. Use the search button to look around.
With an L99 you have the choice to use a VVT cam from say Texas Speed or do like a lot of guys do and convert it over to a LS3. Be ready for sticker shock though. More than likely you'll already have a tune with those mods. I would tell you to consider getting a transmission torque converter along with some suspension goodies like Toe Rods and Tie Rods. Get some cradle bushings as well. Basically, you should focus on getting the power you have now put to the ground. Then you can look at adding more HP down the road. Research, research, research......that's going to be your best option so you don't end up wasting your money.

I think the OP gets it, he said he made a mistake and apologized.
Notice he only has 4 posts? Yeah, he's a new member. Way to run them off by picking his post to pieces and shitting all over his grammar. Props to Caverman for making a constructive post. A friend of mine recently bought a 5th gen, he posted it on facebook, and I made sure to direct him to camaro5.com Had about 4 people chime in (all old school LS fanatics) saying that our forum is full of e-thugs, grammar nazi's and trolls, and to stay as far away from Camaro5 as possible. I'm starting to see why they feel this way.

If you don't have a tune then that's going to be huge for you. The trans tune takes away a lot of the torque management.
If you don't have a local tuner that you can work with then I would suggest talking with Ted over at http://www.jannettyracing.com. He has done tons of mail order tunes for the 5th Gen. Still, I'm thinking you do it in steps. Do some bushings, toe and tie rods, along with a torque converter, trans cooler, and a tune. You'll be well on your way. Then you can go out can get some more seat time at the track (there is a sub forum for that as well). Once you start getting some decent 60' times you can then look at adding more power.......just my take.

Your in Florida. I see your on the east side and Florida Speed & Power is on the west side of the state. When you have people like FS&P by ya you can't go wrong. JRE is good at what he does lord knows they have a lot of my cash lol. But at the time I was working on my SS i had no local tuner.
