it shouldn't matter, there's a TSB, if you have a defective pump, they should still fix it no matter what mods you have done.

Yup -

I lost my warranty months ago - had this same issue come up, and since it was a TSP they covered it no problem.

They certainly can and will wave the warranty and they should for internal engine mods, it is a PI, Product Information, not a TSB, not a recall. If you crack the engine open, you get to pay for the repairs. Pretty simple.

PI? certainly looks like a TSB to me as it is a known problem.

The original PI was issued on 12/29/09 according to page 1. Obviously it is not a very common problem or is would be all over the place, especially since there are a lot of very high volume vehicles on the list.

sucks for us 1SS people, who dont have an oil pressure gauge in the car.

Same thing happened to me today. Built in Dec 09, has 4500 miles and vin #9639. I will check the oil pressure with a manual gauge tomorrow then throw in a relief valve if that is the problem.

my oil pump ended up going bad as well- may want to check that as well-

The new oil pump already has the relief valve installed so im just going to replace the whole assembly and hope it doesnt happen again.

Just got the low oil pressure - stop engine message today :(

Looks like I'll have to get my car towed to the dealer.
