I too started with a 76 Camaro. Type LT. Black with firethorn red interior. 350 4-barrel, 165hp. No Z28 that year. Now I'm waiting for my ZL1, which is allegedly built, but not shipped.

My first new car was a 1976 Camaro. Bought it in September. It was dark metallic green with a tan interior. Paid $5,150.00 out the door. It was bought at the same location as our ZL1. Times sure have changed.

And me...
1976 Sport Coupe. I bought it as an 18 year-old. My very first car. Many memories. It sits in my garage today, 9035 miles on her. Mods though. My ZL1 will stay stock.
Too much history to let go...

Yes, I am on the northside of Indy. I have been in search of a dealer with an allocation for some time now. Out of the blue, this ZL1 shows up at Hare Chevy in Noblesville. It is almost identical to what I wanted to order, except for the stripe and suede package. What is amazing to me is, the dealer knew I was looking for this color ZL1 but made no attempt to contact me to let me know this unit was inbound. I discovered it on the Chevy website.

Oh well, I am very fortunate to own such an incredible car.

The ZL1 looks great in every color. Silver with black is very nice, but the stripe is a waste of money when you also order the sunroof (which then omits the roof portion of the stripe).
