Hello NY'ers
I live on Long Island, I dont currently own a camaro but I hope to later this year. I do drive into the city once a week so I hear some of you guys talking about city driving. You get used to it after a while. Although I am sure I would be more nervous about driving a camaro in NYC just cuz I would care a lot more about the car. When I get one I would very much want to keep it clean and cool looking. But I also think cars are meant to be driven. I wanted to also throw this out there to all the NY camaro owners. I am a professional photographer. If any of you would like to get some wicked cool images of your car for posting or just for you. Email me. I will offer a discount to any of you guys. I would love to meet NY camaro owners and see your cars. You can see my artwork at www.jackroman.com |

Hello Babylamb
Thanks... Yea that exactly what I am doing. I figured a rear wheel drive car would not be so great in snow. I used to own a few as a kid. I wanted to see if there were many known issues. Which I have not seen so far. (like the issues the mustang as with its tranny). The things I wonder about with the camaro are how will I feel about that trunk space (especially as a photographer). I checked it out and I am able to fit all my current gear in trunk. The other issue is how will I feel about the limited sight lines in a car I drive everyday in NY. I am thinking its something I would just adapt to. I do a fair amount of driving. 18,000 miles a year. So yea I want to make sure. design wise I love the car. Quote:

Sure that would be cool.
As far as the trunk goes yea I already talked to the audio company I deal with about subs with narrow enclosures. I took all my gear down to a local dealer to make sure my camera gear fits in the trunk. Although I am always buying new gear so not a lot of room to grow though. (back seat? ) Originally I was looking to lease the camaro. But lease options kinda suck. So I am saving money and paying off one debt before I put my butt in one later this year. I was also originally thinking V6 cuz of the amount of driving I do. But I think the part of me that loves the V8 sound has woken up and wont go back to sleep. lol Plus I cant customize a lease much. Where abouts on LI are you? I live in Huntington Station by the mall. |
