Is my dealer an idiot?
I had an unfortunate experience with a NYC multiple pothole'd road, only to literally destroy my front end. Long story short....went through insurance, got 2 new front rims/tires, tie rod end, etc... Just installed another stock set of rims with Yokohama Parada Spec-X's, only to find out when my dealer repaired my car, they crammed the 275/40-r20's on my front rims. I know they came with the 245/45-r20's. Should I be concerned?

I personally would like to have larger tires up front. .. better grip in the corners.

First determine if they gave you 8" or 9" rims. If you have 8", then I would have the smaller tires put on. If they are 9", then keep them and you'll have the same size shoes all around. And you'll be able to rotate f-r.

The 275 was more expensive as well, not by much but more money for the wider tire

So you are saying to leave it alone?, Shouldn't have any wear issue in the future?

A 275 tire is too big for an 8" wheel. A 275 should have at least a 9" wheel. I would not run that set up especially on the front.
