Prices are approximately the same, which would you get?

2012 loaded V8 L99 80k miles
2013 loaded V6 LFX 60k miles

MyLink, bigger screen for back up camera, new wheels, what else does the 2013 has that the 2012 doesn’t?

I’m gonna go test drive one of the V8 near by this week

Ha! I have a 2013 2LT/RS. I get shit from the V8 people but ignore them, its fast enough to be fun and still get 27-28 mpg with the cruise set (I got 30.2 once before I stuck a CAI on it). When I was looking I didn't like the 2010-2011 interior nor the 2014-2015 exterior refresh so you are looking right where I was. Lots of sub 30k mile examples in the high teens/low $20k range depending on how hard you look and how picky you are (I traveled 409 miles to pick mine up!) Happy Hunting!

Yup! Exactly. The interior of the 10-12 looks kinda dated, but can be upgrade with PAC and some aftermarket screen. The exterior of the 14-15 is just

I've found a few 2013 V6 and 2012 V8 under 80k miles between $14k-18k that are within 5 hours driving.

Now I'm just debating between ponnies and OEM tech. Well, MPG too, but my current V6 SUV gets around 19-20 MPG so I think the V8 MPG won't throw me off too much.

I have 75K on my 2013 2SS L99. Still runs like a dream. I am planning on bringing it to Chevy this summer and telling them to go over the whole car to make sure it runs right. I get 24 MPG driving 50 miles a day on country roads.

Nice to hear. I have decided to go with a 2LT/RS and save the extra money for cosmetic mods and maybe exhaust

Finding an exhaust that sounds good (not ricey) has proven to be the biggest hurdle I have ever faced with my V6

I have had two '92's and one '91 before my current SS. One of my '92 had the 350 TPI with intake and super chip and only made 285hp.

There will be bashing about having a v6 sports car, but with a respectable 300+hp on the v6 models, its hard to argue.

I can say that I get roughly 20-24mpg with CAI, LTH, and full exhuast, with a tune. Or I can also get what seems like 8-10mpg, dependening on how far into the throttle I get. Your gonna have the potential for a little better milage from v6, but depends on what you like also. Both make excellent DD's if you dont go overboard with the mods.

Being a hotrod guy from way back I've had a hard time ever saying "It has plenty of power." However, I have to say my 1LS is pretty zippy in its bone stock configuration. I will say there is more than enough power to easily get a speeding ticket rather quickly. It has no problems getting around slower traffic on the interstates.

Whatever speed I am going I average around 2500-2800 rpm and I am averaging 24mpg.

One more thing to ask, I’m in California now but will move to Texas soon. I have 3 options when purchasing the Camaro

1/ Buy in CA, drive to TX
2/ Fly to another state, buy, drive to TX
3/ Buy in TX

So when you buy it out of state like that, what does the paperwork process look like? Complicated? Confusing? Which state do I have to pay taxes to? Can I drive cross country without the license plate?
