New V-8 Caprice

This is a new Caprice here in Kuwait. It has a 6.0 liter V-8 in it.

...Caprice is RWD.

It's on LWB Zeta.

NA market has it, albeit government fleet/police orders only.

For real?

The car is RWD. It's Zeta-based. Guess what platform your Camaro is on. ZETA. Isn't your Camaro RWD?

I didn't see any rearend that is why I thought it was a front wheel drive. People get nervous when you climb under their car over here.

They're sold in the US as government fleet/police vehicles. They're sold overseas to anyone. Hell, it's sold in China as the Buick Park Avenue.

In Australia (where the car was developed), it's the Holden Caprice.

In the Middle East, it's the Chevrolet Caprice.

In the US, it's the Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle.

LoP, understand that those in the know understand the global Zeta Platform. It is RWD only. AWD or FWD is not available.

The Zeta sedans have been available in the Middle East as Chevrolets for some time. The Caprice is the LWB and the SWB version (our old Pontiac G8) and parent car is the Holden Commodore. The Commodore is sold as the Chevrolet Lumina in the Middle East.

But trust us, it's RWD which is why everyone would simply love to have them here in the U.S.

As a side note, the Buick version of the LWB Caprice/Statesman is sold as the Park Avenue in China.

It's like the "Checker" which was only used to make cabs.

I would like to have one if sold in the US. I have a 1965 Impala SS, 396 / /4-speed. So I am not too bright, sorry !

Front resembles the G8. Looks a lot like a holden, I don't really like it.

The front is okay, the back sucks though. Way too plain.
