Is that mustang a daily driver even at winters? I am very concerned about salt building up since turbos are mounted on the bottom. what about 0-60 times? Last edited by DarkneZZ; 07-21-2013 at 11:20 PM. |

i doubt he drives it everyday, especially since it is very common to see temps below 0 F. but the ones in moscow we did, some of those guys daily drive their cars with no problems.
i don't think salt will affect it as much, i'd be more concerned with all potholes and the standing water in them lol. i'd definitely run some filter socks. |

IPS Motorsports Introduces a New Twin-Turbo Kit for Fifth Generation Camaro V6 LFX Engines
Lewis Center, OH – July 22, 2013 – IPS Motorsports introduces its new twin-turbo kit for fifth generation Camaro V6 LFX engines. This all-American made turbo kit offers performance-minded enthusiasts 575 crank horsepower with 460 horsepower at the wheels. At the heart of the powerful twin-turbo system are two Garrett journal bearing turbos. The kit also features an internal wastegates, a TiaL BOV, Fragola oil lines, and a scavenger pump oil return system. The turbo kit is already creating a buzz on the Camaro5.com forum. “Congrats! IPS might be the only company I’d trust for a twin kit. They are top notch,” writes forum user Iscamaro. Developed and created by some of the most experienced fabricators and techs in the industry, the turbo kit comes with all of the necessary hardware to install on both sides of the transmission, including a skid plate to protect the turbos from road damage. Known for the high standards they set for craftsmanship, the team at IPS Motorsports places emphasis on reliable construction using strong and dependable welds. “It just sucks you into the seat and feels great. I have yet to put it to the floor though,” says Matthew Salas, a client with a prototype of the new turbo kit. “I was riding alongside a [Camaro] 1LE on the way to a show going neck and neck down the highway. God it feels good to keep up. . . . He told me he could hear the turbos screaming down the road. Oh, did I mention they sound amazing? Because they do and the BOV is just awesome.” IPS Motorsports has established a name for itself as a top-notch speed shop in the GM community by building a record-setting 1/4 mile Corvette and Camaro. The owner of the IPS-Sponsored Z06 Corvette, currently the fastest stock-suspension Corvette in the world, brought in his stock Corvette for simple bolt-ons and a tune. He left with a 2,500+ horsepower, record-breaking, 6-second monster. The new twin-turbo kit for fifth generation Camaro V6 LFX engines costs $6300, and can be preordered by visiting http://store.ipsmotorsports.net/cama...turbo-kit.html. While there, take a few moments to enjoy a virtual tour of the facilities.
