OEM Seats to Replace Recaro?

My RRM 2014 ZL1 was delivered Tuesday 6/17/14. I bought the Recaro seats without sitting in them after reading all the rave reviews. They are FANTASTIC when it comes to being held in place while cornering. I'm a bigger guy though and I do not fit the seat well at all. It is extremely uncomfortable and makes driving long time periods brutal.

Does anyone know where you can buy stock standard OEM ZL1 seats??? Also, is there anyone that has actually installed Recaro seats in their ZL1 that can confirm it is a direct swap as far as electrics, heated seats, mounting, etc.?

I am not open to trades for my Recaros right now... I plan to keep them for if I sell it or trade it at a later date.

I sat in them as well, and didn't like them. I preferred the stock seats.

I got to sit in the recaros. I admit they are some nice looking seats and great for the track but they are uncomfortable after sitting in them for a while...like after an hour or so. For me its not for daily driving and I'm an average size guy. I love my OEM ZL1 seats. very comfy and still keeps me in the seat on a hard turn. Only if they made those new recaro seats a bit wider, I would be all over them. but then that would defeat the purpose of track/racing seats (Recaros).

Big boys and little seats = NO GOOD!

I'm 6'8" 260lbs and no way could I rock the Recaro seats. They are bad ass if your a small or average size person. Stock seat keep me right in the place.

Good luck. My guess is factory seats are going to carry a HEFTY price tag. You might have to trade someone unless you want to fork out the cash.

PM Sent!

I am in Longmont CO and will gladly drive to your location and trade, plus cash and install if you would like.

My Seats are basically brand new!

OEM ZL1 seats will run upwards of 4K if you can find them. Swapping is the best way to go.

Yeah I can see that Rat. I'm 6'2/240 and I max out the Recaro's for adjustment.

I finally sat in them!

I have been trying to get a "feel" for how the Recaro's fit and was able to do so last week when I sat in the Z/28. I am 6 foot and 250. Not fat just a big guy always have been. They fit me well and had no major problems at all. I still wish they provided more side bolstering for my legs. I owned at one time a set of aftermarket Cobra Daytona seats that had higher side bolstering. I understand why the Recaro's are that way, easier entering and exiting the vehicle. That is my only nitpick in regards to the Recaro seats. They look beautiful.
