Before Two Tone Paint Options

I am looking to go two tone on my camaro sometime down the road. I have been seeing a lot of vinyl car wrap companies start to come out with full wraps and just toppers. I'm looking to go to something like this something like this mock up. Metallic black and metallic grey.

Question is, how much do you think it would cost to do just the top in vinyl or would it even be worth it? I haven't seen may vinyl jobs up close so I don't know if it would even look right. I just wanted to get an idea of what it would look like before an expensive paint job. If I don't like it, I could just peel it off and try something else. (As long as the black doesn't fade to bad in the Indiana summer sun.)

Thoughts?

If it is one of the basic colors, probably $2.5k-3k

I know how much paint is going to cost. I was wondering if wrapping it first would look ok and around how much it might cost compared.

Ok. To answer your question, no. It would not be worth it to most people because no one would want to constantly spend money having it re-done. Because of how the camaro is put together, just wrapping the top would give you no where to tuck the edges of the vinyl. Yes it sticks but weather, driving, and just wear and tear makes the edges of any sticker on a flat surface look raggedy. So I don't imagine there are going to be to many vinyl examples of two toned cars.
