1LE Oil separator on LFX
Does anyone know if it would fit on an LFX with the engine cover on and the hood closed?
I know I'd need to buy a hose to connect to the intake as the included one is only for the V8s. NOTE: I'm talking about the OEM part, not the RX performance version.

Friend of mine just installed his on his LLT with no engine cover last night...but he had to get a reducer for the intake tube and a plug for the rear drivers side to make it work.

The rear plug is expected.
What is the size/shape of the separator air tube port? Any pics?

Theres a piece called the quick release fitting that you use to drain it.

Thanks for the info & pics!
I was under the impression it drained back into the engine after the "out" pressure subsides.

You are right. It does drain the way you are saying. Reason I left the quick release was for when i go to change the oil i don't need to play around to get the hose off. The above pictures are of my car and I will be posting a DIY later tonight of the install. I will also check to see if it fits with the cover for you. That I know of I am the first V6 (both LLT and LFX) with the separator. More details will come tonight when I'm on my computer and not my iPhone.

Thanks!
While I'm waiting for my brakes to come back from the powder coater, this is moving to the top of my mod list.

As promised here is my DIY for installing it on the LLT which will probably be very similar for the LFx. I would say it might be possible to run it with the engine cover but it would be a very very tight fit.

Here is another choice for an oil separator. I received word from Tracy at RX about a month ago about testing this out for him. I was not able to get it hooked up until the day before I put my Camaro into storage. Installation was clean and simple. It replaces the breather that I had in this location. Looks good sitting in my engine bay. I will have more information about it in the spring after I get some miles on it. Also, I have attached a photo from Tracy showing the separator on his latest top mount supercharger build.
