Solo Hi-flo's are designed to bolt directly to your stock exhaust manifold.
They would need to be modified (cut down) and welded to work inline with any long tube header. Even some short headers would require some cutting and welding to work. I would suggest just trying them as delivered first- alot of what you've paid for is the convenience of being able to simply bolt them on. |

Since shorty headers are designed to work with factory cats and solo high flows are designed to work with factory manifolds, it stands to reason that any shorty header should work with solo high flows (If A works with C and D and C works with A and B, it logically follows that B works with D).
You won't see much gains in sound or performance with shorties, though, and the combination may result in a CEL which would result in a the need to tune. ARH and Borla both make shorty headers. The solo high flows won't feasibly work with long tube headers.

I'd look into ARH shorty headers if you decide to go that route. Gains should be stronger with those compaired to most shorties. Solo high flows are nice if you don't plan on going with headers. If you do go with long tubes and sell your Solo's....you'll find a buyer on the board pretty easily!

JBA,ARH,Borla will all work if you have an SS. If you have a V6 then JBA. They all will make the same HP so shop around for the best deal.

If you already have the SOLO Cats; you are stuck with shorties. I added JBA shorties after my initial SOLO Cats install; and picked up 9rwhp and 14rwtq. Don't expect alot.
If you want to keep the SOLO cats (they do flow great, sound great, and improve power--I saw 22rwhp with their cats and Mach x), you have to pay someone to cut them down to fit between LT collectors and cat back exhaust.....for the extra money, its better to sell the SOLOs and get another HF Cat made for LTs.
