Incentives?

Besides the ones on the Chevy website, does anyone know of any incentives or specials coming soon for the Camaro (2013 if any left, 2014's)??

You can use 1 factory rebate AND 1 private offer

if you mess around on the chevrolet website, you can usually get a $1,000 private offer. it's a popup window. clear your cache, turn off pop-blocker, build a camaro and hit refresh or keep coming back. if that don't work, use a different computer.

If you belong to USAA, that's good for $750. Credit Union discount (if the dealer participates), $500. Current student or recent college grad (any academic grad above high school including trade schools within the last 2 years) I believe receives special financing or rebate.

GM Military / USAA Discount:

Credit Union Member Discount:

GM Family First discount program:

2013: $2,000 Customer Cash+1,000 bonus in select markets+0% APR
2014: $1,000 Customer Cash

GM literally does not tell the dealer what the incentives will be until they change.

That's odd. From what I was led to believe on this site people were racing out to get the old taillights but if that was the case why would they need to throw more money at the the '13's?

On topic, you can chat with a rep at chevrolet.com regarding public and private offers.

That USAA discount is if you have their insurance. If you want the discount you have to buy their insurance.

Correct. You have to be insurance eligible to qualify for the $750 rebate.

OK... A couple of questions...

Is it $2,000 customer cash ***AND*** 0% APR?

I just purchased a 2013 2LT/RS. I was originally given the $2,000 and $1,000 rebates by the finance manager on my original offer. While he was trying to get me the best interest rate, he came back and said "I got you one helluva deal... GM came back with 0%, but I lose the $2,000 rebate." Overall I save like $10,000-$14,000 on interest over 72 months, and I assumed that is how GM makes their money on the 0% deal by taking the $2,000 rebate.

Did the dealer pocket the $2,000 rebate?

It was not a "whim" purchase as my wife has been researching Camaros for 2 months (models, features, pricing), but did not do the research on savings, rebates and financing ahead of time. I assumed with my credit score I'd be lucky to get below 11%.

I am buying a second 2013 Camaro (Black 2LS) and trying to take delivery by 4/30 for the 0% again. It's at another dealership 800 miles away and they are working to get it here. I'd like to be ready and say *BS* to the dealer if they weren't supposed to take the $2,000 rebate from me the first time. I will probably get the $1,000 bonus rebate again, I have $1,500 GM rebate card (working with VQ35DE on that), $5,000 on my trade-in, and probably $1,000 cash down. I also qualify for the Chevrolet College Discount, but may get a better deal at $500 below dealer invoice. I am a member of USAA but don't have car insurance with them so I probably can't get the $750 incentive from that.

Would it also be worth trying to get a Private Offer from the Chevy site or would I lose more than gain?

Thanks for any advice/help/suggestions.

I live in California and am really hoping they keep the $2000 off of the 14's for May. Otherwise, I'll have to wait until they do.

Not to be GM downer but their earnings report disclosed more investigations and started to flesh out litigation costs/losses due to the issues we all know about. I think incentives are going to get more aggressive going forward.

You will NOT lose any of your rebates if you use a private offer.

Stay up all night and try to snag one !
