2015 Mustang.....$50K
WOW, that is crazy considered that you can get a base 2014 Corvette for that type of money.
I must agree that the new Mustang looks nice but think it is way overpriced at the price range. Are any of you considering switching to a Mustang? |

I've noticed a Ford $ doesn't go as far as a Chevy $.
When I was building my Camaro, I got on Fords website and tried to build a similarly equipped Mustang GT...Track Pak, Leather, Heated seats, transparent roof, Nav, some upgraded stereo and it was $48K! Or compare a Boss 302 to a 2SS 1LE and you'll pay thousands more for the Ford. Mustangs sound great and I love the heritage, but you get more for your money with a Camaro.

Isn't that the price for the limited edition? Regular GT won't go that much.

Less than 2,000 will be made, and it's the 50th edition. I guarantee people will still rush to buy them.

I like the new Mustang. There are hints of Jaguar in the front end look, to me. There will be plenty priced below $50K but no, I don't plan to buy one. Looking forward to seeing them, though.
Saw a Shelby 1000 at a show the other day - never heard of them but it was very cool. I had no idea the horsepower on them until I researched them a little - now I wish I would have stayed to hear it running. |

Has Ford never heard of "Heavy Lift" Helicopters?

Anniversary edition or not, its still just a 5 oh. None of the anniversary camaros added a ton of money to the final price, no matter how many were built. If this one is $50k, the regular GT is not gonna be priced well at all....

I really wish they took a 65 Mustang Fastback and just replicated it with 2015 technology. Air bags, power brakes, etc. At least as a limited edition. I would have killed for that.
I had been considering a muscle car for a few years now. I had initially planned to wait on the 50th Mustang and I'm glad I didn't. Last year I decided not to wait and got the 2013 SS. Glad I did. The new Mustang looks okay but I like the Camaro better. Having said that, someday I will own a 1965 Mustang Fastback! I could have gotten one last year but wanted to get a modern car first. Fastback will be in another 5 or 6 years. |
