Aaaaand she's gone :(
Aquaplaning ain't a good thing. Damn it I only had it for 2 months!!! I hope the damage isn't too severe as to require a replacement car. I can't wait another 6 months! I'll probably skip summer drives regardless since I doubt there are too many spare parts over here in Europe at the dealers. Boy, I do feel bad for the insurance company though...

It won't be until next week before I hear what the damage was but what do you guys reckon? Totaled? I might be too optimistic here but I think I might be ok with this one. The wheel is actually OK and can be turned so no detachment there. Is the front of the chassis replaceable or is it a whole thing?

I'm not too worried since the car is leased so regardless of what the damage is, I'll be driving a Camaro again, I'm just hoping I won't have to wait another 6 months if this one is totaled

Air bags deployed so they might total it. At least you are ok though. Sucks having that much power and suddenly losing control.

I least here in the states, a lot of times when they deploy they consider it totaled. Not sure if it's because of the amount of force needed to deploy them meaning there could be frame damage or it's just easier for them to deal with. Don't quote me that it will be totaled, maybe over by you they will just replace and fix.
Good luck and let us know what happens

That looks repairable off center hit crumple zone did its job most of the hit looks contained in front quarter.

Quote:
they don't total them because the airbags deploy. it's more a case of any accident severe enough to cause them to deploy will more than likely result in enough damage to total it out. it's correlation, not causation. |
