No, its a few thousand cheaper. You have to remember all the supporting fuel mods to go with that blower. It all adds up quick!

depends what power level you're pushing though, so your statement isn't entirely correct.

sometimes just a upgrade in injector and a boost a pump will do the trick for 6-700 rwhp I like adding a regulator for peace of mind.

For levels of 1000hp, you'll have to do lines, regulator, pump etc etc.

comparing Normally Aspirated to Supercharging is Apples to Oranges. There's nothing like the rush of boost coming on.

I'm usually over at my chicks house in Last Colinas on sundays and Mondays. I would really like to check out your setup so I can decide what direction to go. FI or NA. Do you work anywhere near that area or are you east of Dallas all the time?

I guess you never have to refill nitrous bottles??

A bottle is only good for a few runs in case you unaware.

I rather have all the power all the time.

OrangeChevy, out of curiosity, what CAI are you running specifically? Any opinions/plans to upgrade to Vararam? Also, you running a plate for nitrous or what?

Thanks!

How long did it take to figure that out? Of course I do, but my 537 rwhp on motor will draging the piss out of your blower car while your waiting on your boost to kick in.

The blowers are cool, it takes a 100 hp to turn the belt over on one and not to mention the main bearings in the front take a beating. All the weight they add is killer when these things already tip the scales over 4000 pounds with out a driver.

So, with that said......I'll stick to making "bottle baby" power, it's alot less money and no where near the wear on the motor. Some people say "nitrous is the devil", lol. They dont know what their doing is all I can say.

Vararam doesnt look to appealing to me, I know on the C6 Vettes they have problems spreading apart after they age a little bit and let dirt in around the sides.

We built the one on my car, it's a 4 1/2 inch elbow and alluminium pipe with a K/N velocity stack filter for the late model GM trucks. We decided to make our own to make room for the fuel cell when we cross that bridge. I run the Nitrous Daves 102mm plate. It works great with the Nano asssistance feeding the bottle.
