So many state laws dictate gun purchases. Here in Ga you do not have to register firearms.

They're finally closing the loop holes of non background check gun purchases at local gun shows in GA.
Her ein MN you can cash and carry black powder guns also. (Even modern ones) Rifles and shotguns are over the counter with a driver's license. handguns and "assault rifles" require a permit to purchase. (Requires a back ground check, but it's good for 1 year at a time, so if you get your permit, (just an application at your local police department) you can buy as many as you want while your permit is valid.)

Most states I've been to require an ID to prove you're at least 18. After that it depends on the state and the type of gun, and then where you're buying it. Gun shows are usually the easiest with the least amount of hassle. Handguns usually have the most strict rules as far as purchase (wait time, how many you can buy in a certain amount of time, registration, etc). Pump shotguns on the other hand, you can usually pick them up the same day, no registration, no background check, no nothing. Again, depends on the state.

I load 125 gr Zero JHP over 8.2 gr HS-6....do not duplicate this load. Its for my 9mm major Open gun. Chronos at 1391fps!

HS-6 is a great powder

It's refreshing to read somebody outside of the US not asking about "US gun laws", and understanding that the States are the big factor

Thank you

You can buy any firearm you want without an ID. Just have to go to the right places

Seriously though. In Louisiana you can sell a handgun or rifle to another person, face to face, without a background check or any sort of paperwork. You just have to have reasonable belief that the person is not a felon and know that they are a resident of LA and are of proper age. So really, you *need* to show your ID to execute a proper exchange.

So I go straight to the gun store I shipped my POF to, and they tell me that they require up to 48 hours to process gun transfers.

Oh well...a couple more days of waiting.

POF?

I have some pieces I can't pick up for 3 weeks! It's just as well, gonna take feds that long to get caught up lol

My new deer gun

(not really)

Gonna build something similar to this, only a smooth sided upper, and a couple more variations... figured I'd do it while we still can.

I picked up a new Springfield XD-M 9mm 4.5 inch barrel competition pack today for my son's birthday! He is turning 17 and has been using my guns for IDPA. It is high time for him to have a rig of his own. It came with a paddle holster, 2 magazine belt holster, 3 19rd magazines and a speed loader. It is a very nice gun and I can't wait to see him shoot it next week once he gets it.

I will say buying this was very hard from a guy that owns 9 Glocks. It was a hard pill to swallow.

Been wanting to pick one up for a while, but all the craziness just sped up my purchase. Grabbed it last week at a decent price on Gunbroker, about an hour before everyone sold out.

Nice choice. I personally like the XDs better, but you Glock guys are hard core, and very loyal.

Picking up the POF was lucky. I found a Mossberg AR-15 MMR Hunter Semi Auto Rifle .223 Rem/5.56 NATO 20" Barrel today new. It has a 5 rd and 2 X 20 rd magazines with a Tasco red dot that they installed. All for $850. I have it on hold until tomorrow. Not sure if it is a good deal or not.

As for the Glocks, it is simply that they never break. I have over 10,000 rounds through my 34 and it is as tight as the day I got it.
