I've switched to the Thursday group since I won't be able to get off work in time to make it up with this group. If anyone wants to do Thursday, we have a new thread added for this that we are working on now. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=233104

I don't know for sure what route we are taking yet but we will have a few cars from the Jacksonville FL area meeting up with you on Wednesday. Probably either in Knoxville or Louisville.

Now a question. I was going to pick up a couple radios for our group. Any suggestions on what to get? Or maybe more importantly, what not to waste money on?

If you have a smartphone, just download Zello. It's a free walkie talkie app.

Spike, Looks like the F-ville folks are going to meet up with Mid atlantic crew (same peeps as C5F I convoy). I won't be rolling that way...too much time for me; what is your timetable for Wed? Its 5-6 hrs to Ashville; need to see where/how we might be able to link up with you all.

Ok. I signed up, but maybe I'm missing the schedule that may have been posted on another page

I'm thinking about lurking behind and overtaking at the end

What time does the train leave and what time do we project to be where please

Dw. Happy traveling

Spike will probably be posting up over the weekend for the Wednesday departure group. I'm going to be posting up on Sunday more details for the Thursday departure group. Look in the Southeast regional forum "stickies" for more details.

I've got it on the computer at home. I'm going to update the threads in the next week or so with the stop off/meet up points for everyone

I'm planning on heading out from Greenville around 730am which should put us in Asheville around 830-9am

I've got to do some research... we might have to change the last part of the route.

FYI Regarding travel thru Louisville!
WARNING: There is MAJOR construction on the I-65 bridge that crosses from Louisville to Indiana, according to current reports, it will be down to ONE lane heading North at the time of CamaroFest, so the timeline may be a bit off for the Lou to Indy trip! Traffic in Louisville is a mess all day, everyday right now on all interestates that cross thru the city including I-65, I-64 & I-71!
Alternate route: From the South or East, folks might want to divert onto the Watterson Expressway (I-264) West bound, follow it around the city and take I-64 W (St. Louis) to cross the river, then take the Indiana side loop (I-265) back over to I- 65 to avoid the Kennedy Bridge!
Please let me know if I can help facilitate anything around the Louisville area.
Jim
