I don't think its as good looking as the 599 GTB but its still gorgeous. It has a version of the 4.3 V8 in the F430 producing a slightly less 454bhp. Although a brand new 7-speed dual clutch transmission allows it to accelerate just as fast or even quicker than the F430. The California features a retractable hardtop just like the Mercedes SL.

comon ferrari what are u doing. bring back the mid engine designs in your vehicals. the f430 was the nicest ferrari to ever b produced. this new one the california it looks like a t-bird like tag said, and thats not sumthin u want to look like.
on a postive note, like everyother ferrari when u hear this thing coming down the road and u turn to look for it u will still get the same feeling when u see a ferrari, and the smile on ur face is always priceless.

The "official photos" leave me disappointed. Not one of Pininfarinas better styling exercises. :( It's too "busy" looking, and I HATE the stacked tail pipes, ala; Lexus IS F.

I'm with Doug; I'd much rather have the F430.

I kind of get a Lotus feel from this design. I don't hate it, but it doesn't say Ferrari to me. Looks like a lot of fake, expensive flash and no special substance (just like California...just kidding).

I'd rock it for sure, but I agree that the F430 is the Ferrari I'd want. If I'm going to get a Ferrari, I'm going to get a Ferrari that makes everyone jealous, not just sport coupe lovers.

i agree that this has Elise styling cues, but come on... this thing looks nothing like the t-bird... i'd buy it and own it proudly... it looks amazing if you ask me...

Finally, some one else who likes the look of it. All admit the front isn't to die for but the overall car if fantastic.

i know i will never be able to buy this or any other ferrari but this or the 599 are my 2 faves and since the 599 is obviously inspired by the 365 GTB 'daytona' i am totally digging on both cars!
