"Rough" idle

I never really gave this much thought before..My idle varies up and down between 500 and 900 RPM roughly..I thought this was normal. Just trying to recapture the sound of the 60's muscle car cam...

Any thoughts..Is this normal?

Did you replace the cam or is it still the factory cam? If it is still factory I would say you have some serious issues.

If you have an aftermarket cam, I think you still have some issues. Your idle shouldn't vary that much.

We will need more info about your car and modifications.

No, it's all factory and otherwise runs great. The Chev dealer has worked on the car also and said nothing about it, but than again, I didn't ask..

Yes, all the time GaBoy. I've read on other blogs it's competely normal due to the factory cam profile and the soft engine mounts.

Mine does the same thing. Idles between 500/1000, at times I think my car is going to stall out. Does this warrant a visit to the dealership? My car is stock, no mods to the engine.
