Brakes

Ok so my stock ss brake pads are getting close to being worn out. I was originally planning on using hawk ceramic pads and getting the rotors turned. But I keep seeing posts about brake squeel.
What should I get/use.
Also the caliper bolts that are torque to yield... should I replace those and where could I get these from

Im in the process of doing the same thing since my Powdercoated Calipers are on their way. I was leaning toward the HPS pads, racing brake fluid and the Pedders brake lines.

I got my Hawk Ceramics to stop sounding like a school bus with the following bedding (this is allot more severe than Hawk said to do) 65 to 20mph 10 times in a row and then drove highway speed for 20 minute cool down.

My front brakes had smoke coming off them when I was done. Now they are no worse than the OEM pads where but stop allot better.

Here's the part numbers if you decide to change the bolts.

11570788 Front disc brake caliper bolts; to knuckle. 4 per vehicle.
11515781 Front disc brake caliper bolts; to knuckle. 4 per vehicle.

My Hawk ceramic pads work great and with no noise. I followed Hawk's bedding process, but I also used generous amounts of brake grease on any moving part like the back of the pads, and pins.
