2015 Camaro Oil Pressure issue??

So had my 2015 Camaro for about 3 weeks. Just noticed in last two days the oil pressure pegs out on acceleration, and when slowing and idle, drops to almost red line on lower end of gauge. Happens on both the center console gauge and in the DIC digital reading. Read this is normal, any ideas??

Is this with the engine oil fully up to temperature or cold?

You need to provide more info on the engine in your car.

Sounds like why I came here to Camaro5 5 years ago. My LLT V6 pins the oil pressure when I start it up but drops considerably once it is hot.

Cold oil is thicker than warm oil. Thus the increase in oil pressure when cold, but once the car warms up, oil pressure should stabilize!

High oil pressure is almost as bad as low oil pressure. That is why an oil pressure gauge is so important. All oil, even synthetic oil is more viscous, thicker when cold. Oil warms more slowly than the water / antifreeze mix. When you coolant temp first hits 212 your oil is probably only 130 degrees. You should not be at full throttle on any engine until the oil is up to operating temperature. Long story short, let your engine oil warm up and avoid pegging the gauge.

around 15 PSI when idling hot seems to be normal for the v6.mine also spikes when the oil is cold, then drops when hot.
