some do..some don't...lol...sorry I know it doesn't answer your q....better q for me is are you using head studs? also were the heads whacked for straightness and was the block checked?

stock ls3 heads? may need to step up to lsa/ls9 or after market if the above isn't enough...good luck!

peace..

btw - if you end up using the copper...spray both sides and let that stuff setup and get real tacky before installing! l8tr

ARP studs with LS3 heads but the regular LS3 head gaskets. Turns out the person that installed the heads did the driver side perfectly fine with 85 PSI but the passenger side was all 55 PSI. So the studs weren't the issue. It's the person that did the work

If the heads have been on/off multiple times... it'd be really good to get a machinist's straight edge and measure the end to end, corner to corner flatness. Anything other than near perfection, and I'd have a .005" clean up cut on them next time off. I've seen several people chasing headgasket issues with all kinds of tricks, when really the heads need a clean up cut. The really good long machinists straight edges are pricey, but it finds the issue instead of band-aiding it. The block deck also needs to be checked.

Along with - razor blade only gasket scraping. If someone has taken an air drill wizzy wheel scouring pad to either the block deck or head deck... it's toast. Those things destroy the factory machined flatness. Along with spraying aluminum bits everywhere that will tear up the bearings.

This is exactly why I did this by hand when cleaning deck/pistons when heads were off. Yeah a wheel would be 100x faster for cleaning the surface, but can eat into the aluminum pretty easy. Much less chance of having any issues with flatness if you scrub them down by hand.

These heads have been off multiple times. I'm just going to order some GM MP LS3 Ported heads from summit racing to be safe.
