best route to 500+ no blower.......currently 460

OK. so i currently have 460 RWHP. i have an airaid cold air intake, borla long tube headers and s type catback, chucks tuning stage 2 cam package( comp cam, valve springs, pushrods, spark plugs, 180 deg. t stat), and a tune. what is my BEST (cheapest, easiest, safest, however you see BEST as) route, to get to 500+ RWHP? NO BLOWER!!! ALL N/A!
New heads?
FAST 102MM intake manifold?
Light weight internals?
give me some ideas..... and suppliers if you have any ideas
thanks for any help.

Do you have the LS3 or L99??

Heads will probly get you at 480 - 490rwhp.

IMO best way to get 500+rwhp w/o blower is stroke it to a 418ci.

sorry....LS3 motor.
i dont really want to stroke it....lol the motor.
ive heard just putting the FAST intake manifold on, will get 10-15 on a cammed motor.
i will be getting a tune after the work has been done.

What's cheap about a $1k Fast intake? Sounds like a lot of $$ to get another 10-15hp. If you're willing to spend that much on a intake or swapping out internals, why not port the heads?

well 1k is cheaper than a 6k blower.... and i meant cheap, as in, people opinions dont matter,if its cheap, expensive or what not. and i can get the intake for 750.

Ported TB / stock intake will give you 10-15. Add some heads, and you're a winner. The fast is more useful on bigger cube motors, its far more cost effective to get your heads ported.

smaller/lighter wheels will help your RWHP #s. they're easier to move & therefore yield a little less drivetrain loss

ok. were not getting on the wheels subject. these wheels weigh as much as the stock 20's and i am getting a set of 19's for the track.
adding 5k in carbon fiber will make me lighter for better times....yah yah yah i know. theres alot of things i can do. but lets talk about the motor at 500 RWHP.
so back on subject.

I'm currently trying to achieve the same goal. I am installing a Texas Speed Cam this weekend. I'm at 405 rwhp now without a tune. I talked to a GM performance shop yesterday, and they said even with heads and FAST intake.. 500 rwhp is hard to achieve from the LS motors. I hope to be around 480 after my cam install and tune, and i'm considering the intake as well. IDK what else to do either.. cause i'm not doing any forced induction or NOS

You asked for opinions and he gave you one. Then you immediately trash it? If you don't like that idea just say you'd rather stick to motor mods, or simply state the wheels you have are as light as you want to go. You ask for a specific number to the wheels then bring in quarter mile times as your rebuttal. One could easily say yah yah yah but we are talking dyno numbers not ET's. That being said, I agree with the porting the heads and the fast 102 together with a ported throttle body. Might as well get all the easy things out of the way
