Those look awesome in a gen5! I wish Cobras were more prevalent in the US... they make a great product and have several interesting seats in their line.

Thank you but that is counterproductive to what I'm trying to achieve. For me it is defeating the purpose of reducing weight. The motors used are not light in the assembly. I need the seat fixed and non adjustable as I'm the only driver.

Extension plates finished!

Have the plates finished. Ready for paint and installation next week. It seems we are slowly getting there! More photos when I'm finished.

So has the secret ohm value been disclosed to bypass the airbag light? I put Corbeau's in my car last year and still haven't found that info yet so I can make simulators. I'm hesitant to try and read the value of my airbags in the factory seats for fear of the multimeter setting off the bag.

Are the new seats going to be able to slide forward and reverse. I know when I drive on the street I slide the seat back a little and when I track the car I slide up closer for more control. I could not drive daily in the position I use on the track.

Hey tnspd,

No I will be using a fixed position once the correct length is determined I will leave it in that position. The plates offer more adjustment. In my previous car using different mounts I had a problem using sliders before under extreme braking and prefer not to use them this time. I agree wholeheartedly it is easier to slide the seat back for street driving.

First impressions!

Wow, what a difference. I can feel the suspension feedback from the car much better now. Not harsh but a more firm "planted" feel regarding the way the car is reacting to the changes in the road. I believe part of this change is I no longer have to use my knees as anchor points against the center console and drivers door in order to get thru a turn. Ingress and egress are slightly more involved now as I have to lift my leg over the side bolster. Worth the trade off in my opinion. What is cool now is the second I'm in the seat I am securely in place and sitting "in the seat, and not "on top of the seat"! Now to get some track time.
