As for their customer service, it's not bad. I wrote them and told them what happened and they sent me one of their metal caps, supposing that it might hold the seal better since there is less flux in the metal compared to the plastic cap it comes with. But I haven't had a chance to use the new cap yet to see if it works any better.

I will say this though, even though I had problems with the cap leaking, I was still able to use it, I just filled up the reservoir and didn't put any fluid in the bottle. Essentially only using it for the air pressure and having to stop and refill the reservoir a few times. Still easier than having a second person pump the brakes IMO. Mine started to leak around 10-12 psi FYI.

Mine did this also. Started doing the dry method after. Might have to call them to try the aluminum cap.

after you do the wet method how do you clean the tool? I have to do it by myself and dont want to risk it going dry with SRF

So Would the Black Colored Motive Be less prone to having this issue? At 7 dollars more it may be worth it?

I found it on eBay for 67.. Seems good to me. The extra change might be well worth the troubles..

You use denatured alcohol to clean it out. I also used this:

It's magnetic and I attached it to the rotor.

I did a flish on my Z with the Motul. Like most folks here I am always by myself when I'm working in my car. I'm always on the lookout for tools that will make it easier to work on my car alone and this tool worked awseome for me. Just keep an eye on the fluid levels and follow the instructions and away you go. Easy and hassle free and for the price it is well worth buying this tool so you can do your own maintenance.

Did you do the flush with the tank dry or with the motul in the motive tool?

I just bought the black Motive Bleeder Setup. Wish me luck. The calipers will be sent out to Mike this week.

I am going to also buy some jack stands from harbor freight and "Try them out" While I'm awaiting the return of the calipers.

This link was provided to me by one of my good buddies off of C5 in regards to a pretty cool method of doing the "Dry Method". Here is the link. Enjoy

Do you use the dry or wet method?
