I will post that its(the 5th) is better for me.

I love the performance of the 6th.

I fit comfortably in the 5th.

Its a tight squeeze in the 6th.

I don't drive a gen 6 for two reasons.
I don't fit in them.
And if I wanted a Mustang, I would have bought one.

From a drivers standpoint, the layout of the interior is better for the 6th Gen. From a passenger standpoint, the interior layout is worse in a 6th Gen.

If you drive on long road trips alone, no issue in 6th Gen.

If you drive on long road trips with a passenger, they will want to kill you after a while in the 6th gen.

I take it all those making comments in this section are "drivers" of the 6th gen. Put 2 cups/bottles in the cup holders, ride as a passenger for 3 hours and you will see what I mean. As a passenger, you will ride with your arms in your lap, not on the console. This is very uncomfortable position for the passenger.

No issue in my 5th Gen. Especially in 8-9 hour drives. 5th Gen wins for passenger comfort. And if your wife/girlfriend is your passenger for a 9 hour drive, you best be making her comfortable, or you will be paying the price for that. So I don't care how much better your 6th Gen looks, how much more technical improvements your 6th gen has, or how lighter/faster it is... you not making the significant other happy, she will not go anywhere with you in this car. Maybe good for some, but very bad for the relationship. "The new Camaro 6th gen, breaking up marriages since 2016". LOL.

I'm genuinely surprised there is this much debate. I like them both, it comes down to preferences, no need to rain over the gen6 if you like gen5 better, and vise versa. Everyone should just enjoy their cars!

I don`t know if it`s the dumbest but I would rate it right up there with V6 Vs V8 and MPG threads........Actually the whole Gen5 Vs Gen6 is pretty much a useless argument and waste of time to begin with! Who cares, and why do they care?

I only saw two colors: Red and Yellow with Black Stripes! The Yellow with Black Stripes wins hands down as far as the look for the 2016 SS in my e-opinion!

The price of the new 6th Generation is nuts! I calculated the price to lease the very base model "1SS" with no fluff or perks and it came out to about $600+ a month! That is friggen CRAZY if you ask me! I mean hell, I wonder what the guys who are financing a "2SS" premium package with the duel-mode exhaust are paying!

You simply have to have a very high paying job in my opinion to afford this since most people have other bills such as rent, gas, food, washing your clothes, water, garbage etc!

So I think at this time I'm going to just keep my current ride 2010 1LT and look at a used 2013-14-15 SS (hopefully 1LE) or the 2015 5.0 Mustang which is a far better deal than Chevy's!

The Bay Area is already insane as far as the cost of living goes and the only straight forward reason why I'm able to barely survive right now is because I live with family members! Everyone at work lives with family members or friends because you simply can't afford to live out here with all the high prices because of all the outsiders and corporations (Silicon Valley Corps) buying all the properties!

Here in the Bay Area I see far more Mustangs than Challengers or Camaro's! Most of the Camaro's I see out here are 6's (very few V8s and when you see a guy driving a ZL1 you know he's a successful person and is well off!).

It's a shame since the average person simply can't afford the new prices of the 6th Generation. I'm going to for the hell of it go to a local dealer and see what they'd give me for a lease offer on the 1SS even though the calculator took a wild guess and came out with a severely high number that is impossible for me to afford (3 quarters of my paycheck) lol.

The question is how often does a used 1LE have an outstanding lease deal? I've YET to see 1 single 6th Generation Camaro on the road here in the Bay Area. Without a doubt the 2014-15's dominate as far as the Bay Area here over even the 2010-13's but at least my ride stands out from the rest more often!

Now every time I see a new Dodge Challenger, I always turn my head because they're very sharp looking! The 2015 Mustang with Orange/Black Rims looks outstanding too! If Chevy has some deal in the next 5 months on a 2016 Camaro, I might look at that but for right now they're asking far too much.
I am with you on this, every month I break even with my current car meaning I save ZERO money owning this car, all bills included in order to live. If I want to do mods to my current 5Gen I have to make cutbacks like a month or 2 ahead of time. That being said, the 6Gen is out of the question for several reasons. One, the aesthetics looks ugly to me I have tried really hard to like it but cant. Two, the price is f**king nuts. Three, if so many people are waiting for the new 6Gen 1LE and ZL1, but are bitching about the price of the SS what do you think the price of the 1LE and ZL1 will cost?! It is just stupid if I wanted to waste that much money on a car I'd buy a corvette then again I ain't old so yaaaaa the old man sport car is out of the question, just my .02

At 7' tall, the 5th gen is much better comfort wise. The center vent in the 6th gen is worthless for me other than freezing out or cooking my right knee.

I just don't like the 6th gen styling in anyway. It's just not worth the money they are asking.
