Blacked out emblems (pics)
Alright, I recently traded in my 2010 mustang v6 for a 2012 camaro ls. My mustang was heavily modified, mostly exterior besides exhaust, but now I'm starting on the camaro. I bought some vinyl stripes, blackout panel, and bowtie overlays and had them installed at a camaro vinyl specialist shop. I bought some adhesive promoter and high heat paint and did a few things myself such as painting the engine cover, and i painted the rear tailight bezels black. I have a few pictures of what all was done.
Next, I want to blackout this camaro emblem on the side of the car. The problem is, I cannot find anyone who has done it or how to take the letters off, or if I should just buy a new emblem thats blacked out (100 dollars). I already know how to do it, similar to the bezels, sand it down, apply promoter, then paint with 3-4 coats of paint. so can anyone help me? I am also wondering what you think if I add these hash stripes and other side stripe: http://www.bigwormgraphix.net/images...-spear-lrg.jpg Just wanted to know if thats too much or if it looks good. |

Welcome to Camaro5, I really like the hash stripes and doesn't look to busy. Here are a few pics of my black outs.

Very nice! Then again, I'm partial to black outs (see my profile).
For your emblems, no better place than EmblemPros.com. Roger is great and here all the time on the forum. Check out his black onyx Camaro emblems.
