so is the zl1 sway bar better than aftermarket for my 2012 ss? Can't seem to find any of these parts, where are you guys getting them?

at your local dealer. lol. are they better? depends what you consider better. if you don't need an all out race adjustable red or orange or pink sway bar and are ok spending a fraction of the money, then yes. better.

the aftermarket bars are stiffer but the zl1 bar is a big difference.

Good to know thanks! Did you feel a decent change with just the rear one or was it done with several parts at once?

just rear. feels different. if you have a street car the ZL1 bar is awesome. if you are going racing on a track then you might want to go all the way with a kit like pfadt or pedders or whatever.

"Oppenheiser said owners of current Camaros will be able to replicate most of the 1LE package from the parts catalog, although they won't have access to the unique final-drive ratio or the new electric power steering. Bummer"

Quote from the recent inside line article about the 1LE. According to Al O. the final drive is a no go on previous Camaros?

anything is possible. i think he might mean warrantable access....?

either the gears can be swapped in or the diff can be swapped. halfshafts and driveshafts are easy to modify if needed. depends on the cost at that point. if too much adapting is needed I guess LPE can keep their gears at 800 bucks. which is very lame. gear sets have cost 150 - 200 dollars for decades.

also, I don't think a dealer has the ability to change the ratio in the computer.... you need a tune. so gm will just say it can't be done.

I'd really like to know if the 1LE axles are improved and rated to support more HP than the current SS Shafts
or are they improved at the cv joints only using the same rod material as the SS shafts ???

regardless the 1le shafts are still a much better deal than 1000 pony shafts at 1100$$

i thought we already went over that....?

2012 suspension is bolt on.

10/11 needs new trailing arms to use the rear sway.

no one knows about the gears or diff 100% yet.

what do you want to know exactly?
