Salesman Tazed and Camaro Stolen

Article: http://www.lsxtv.com/news/theif-tase...h-speed-chase/

Quote:
Truth is stranger than fiction, or so the old adage goes. Some may debate the truth of that statement in an age where Hollywood has destroyed Washington D.C. something like a million times. Yet there are some stories that seem so foolhardy and absurd that one can’t imagine the thought process that led to such poor decision making.

For example, take this story from WLBT of Colin Johnson, who is alleged to have tasered a Chevy salesman before stealing a brand new Camaro off of a dealership lot in Mississippi. Like really, who does this?

Johnson reportedly entered the dealership to look at a pickup truck before a Camaro caught his eye. The salesman then went to pop the hood to show off the engine, and was rewarded with a taser to the back of the neck. Johnson then took the keys and speed off. Luckily another salesman saw the whole thing.

The salesman alerted the used car manager, who luckily happened to be on the phone with a police officer at the time. Police quickly found Johnson in the stolen Camaro and gave chase, eventually pinning him down just outside a school zone. Johnson had to be forcibly removed from the car, and most likely wasn’t in the right frame of mind.

Really, where did he think he was going to go with his freshly stolen Camaro? There are so many bad decisions here, we don’t even know where to start.

Yea...assault and grand theft auto for a base model Camaro. Wow....

I'm saying it would have been better if it was an SS or ZL1. But go big or home home right? Might have gotten away from the cops too lol

If I did not have the financial capability that I do have to purchase one, I might have done the same. Come on, when you gotta have one, you GOTTA have one. Maybe he figured a $100 investment in a bug zapper was going to work out better than a down payment and 47 monthlies after that!

Poor decision making on his part, but I mean come on it's a Camaro, he couldn't resist it just looked so good he had to take it for a spin
