Changing their minds would constitute a breach of contract and thus making the initial order invalid. I would then just go order from someone else (assuming all four of them did the same thing at the same time).

Honestly, if my car came in TODAY, I'd seriously consider paying the original $2500 over MSRP to get it NOW. Don't tell my dealer that though. :-P

I don't blame you at all. I also have orders at two dealers.

My story is that I tried placing orders at over 20 dealers in southern california. It was sad that the dealer that we usaully work with would not accept orders unless they were way over MSRP.

I have family that work for GM, so I placed an order on October 13th with a dealer for GMS pricing. I have a signed copy with GMS pricing from order GM Autobook showing the GMS price, and my credit cards deposit slips also states GMS pricing. My deposit to the first dealer was via credit card and fully refundable.

My salesperson quit, and when I called the sales manager for a status update, they told me they would not sell the car at GMS. So, I called wrote several emails and placed some calls and complained. About a week later, the dealer called me back and told me they were being pushed to honor the price by GM from my complaints. But, he told me my order moved from #2 to #17, and not to expect my car before December. The sales manager was an ass to me on the phone, and hung up on me.

I sent another round of emails to GM about the outcome from the first dealer. The first dealer pissed me off, so I found another dealer that would accept GMS, and placed another order. The new dealer was much nicer and had several open allocations, but would only accept a non-refundable deposit via check. I also have an offical order sheet listing the exact GMS price.

I planned to cancel my order with the first dealer, and get my deposit back. But, in the meantime, the General Manager of the first dealer called me back and told me he submitted my order, and apologized for the issues with the sales manager.

So now, I've got two deposits at two dealers, one refundable and one not. At this point, I'm going to buy whichever car comes first and honors the origional price agreement for GMS. I may end up loosing the deposit from the non-refundable one.

Truthfully, I don't trust either dealer. What's happend to people today? We put in deposits. We patiently waited. It shouldn't have to be like this.

Thumbs down IT IS JUST WRONG!

What you and others like you are doing is hurting those who ordered after you and now they wait for their order while you have multiple orders being built. If you would have just ordered one car then 3 other people would have been higher up on the list and would get their car sooner. I hope the dealers you don't buy from get stuck with cars they can't sell for even $0.50 over MSRP!

Also, those other 3 Camaros are in the way of everyone who ordered after you not just at those 3 dealers. This is exactly one of the things Fbodfather talked about in a post last night.

wrong ??

I feel this is a reason for others dealers to get more cars than they can order, think about it, if a dealer has more orders than they was alloyed, then they might get to up their numbers for their dealership, and the they take away from other dealers that may have the same amount of orders they are allowed.

Im from KS, Ordered my black on black 2ss/rs auto, sunroof, polished wheels, from Hamilton lagreca in Hutchnson KS on 2-7-09 Then on 5-4-09 they return my money to me in the mail, so I call them and ask them why and they tell me they are not getting any camaro's. I said bull ---- you guys had 4 allications and I was the 4th one. They continued to tell me that all the camaro's in the state of KS have been cancelled by GM. I called GM and they tell me that my order is still there. Buyers beware of HAMILTON LAGRECA they can not be trusted!!!!!!!!!!!!! The 1-800 number has been trying to help me get my order back, but looks like im going to have to reorder, 3 months waiting down the drain.

The dealer should just bump the next person up in place of the cancelled order. Don't just blame the customer canceling the order on here. If the dealer was fair and honest...they would call the next person in the line and bump them up. I don't see the problem with that?! At my dealership, I honestly hope orders 10-15 bail and my dealer then makes me #10. Your beef is with the dealer and the end result. This pre-order bs is flawed because the dealers are still putting in the orders and keeping the cars to sell above MSRP. It's f'kd up anyway you slice it. The way this whole ordeal is playing out...every man for himself! If a dealer is that much of a butthead not to call the next person in line (looking out for themselves) why wouldn't a customer go to another dealer and put in another order elsewhere? Dealer's want to make money and customers want their cars.

I dropped one of my pre-orders. I'm down to 3 now. Unfortunately, the three remaining are all too close for me to drop down to one... oh, and I'm too impatient.

This indeed DOES put people back further!

Let's look at this one thread -- out of tens of thousands....

WE have two people with 6 orders.....meaning we're going to build 6 cars for two people.......rather than 2 cars for 2 people......

If you extropolate this out -- you could have 600 cars built for 200 people -- meaning that 400 people could be moved back........

Now - there are quite a few more than just two of you who are in this situation....and yet everyone wants their car built yesterday.

Please decide which dealer you want to work with and cancel the others.

(....I find it very telling that a few people have written to me to REMIND ME that I predicted that this VERY issue -- the "I want mine YESTERDAY".... two years ago at three different shows! And while it's got people upset -- we also know that nearly everyone is saying 'it was well worth the wait'....)

Now -- for some developments......

We should be caught up on the cars that are bayed by the end of this month - we're shipping more and more each day.

Over 1/2 of the R6P cars have been scheduled for production thru the end of May. We're on target to produce most of them sooner than expected -- but, I caution you: you need to find out where you are in terms of allocation.

If you ordered a car in October - and the dealer told you that you were number 10 of 6 cars allocated (over his allocation) - you will not see your car right away --
