Transmission, MM6? or MG9?

Is the transmission the MG9, same as the ZL1? The Chevy media site doesn't show the RPO, but it does have the ratio's matching the MG9. Have any owners checked the codes to make sure which one it is?

As far as I knew the trans in the Z/28 is the same trans used in the 1LE (MM6). The ZL1 has a different trans yet.

Just looked at my build sheet and it says MM6 - 6-Speed Manual Transmission and MN6 - Transmission, 6-Speed Manual.

The Z/28 has the MM6 option code transmission with the MG9 gear ratios.

It looks like the only difference gear ratio wise between the MM6 and the MG9 are the overdrive (5th and 6th) gear ratios. Otherwise 1st-4th gears are the same ratios between the two transmissions.

MM6 (1LE)
1st 2.66
2nd 1.78
3rd 1.30
4th 1.00
5th 0.74
6th 0.50

MG9 (ZL1 & Z28)
1st 2.66
2nd 1.78
3rd 1.30
4th 1.00
5th 0.85
6th 0.67

Z28's use MM6 . ZL-1's use MG9 . The LS3 also uses a version of the MM6.
