Added hurst today

When I called today to add the hurst shifter, they had to cancel the order and do a new one. Now my number is different. Is that normal?

I will have to do it again when SIM stripes come from the factory.

What a pain!

No, that doesn't sound normal to me. I placed my order on 10/24/08 and have made 3 major changes to my order and requested a copy of the paperwork with the new changes each time. I still have the same pre-order number I started with. Wonder why they had to re-do it?

Some dealers have had trouble making changes, probably due to ignorance, and like your dealer canceled the order and entered a new one. Should have no affect on your order priority.

This is what one of our dealers here said to do:

"You shouldn't have to cancel your whole order. They dealer needs to go to the preliminary order screen and click on the options (just the codes). It will bring up a screen just for options and allow you to add or subtract options. That is what I did this morning for a customer and it made the change easily and quick.
Don't go under the regular configure a new vehicle. Go to the Quick order link. They are under the same order vehicle tab."

Also, you know that shifter is LPO and will be installed by your dealer.

I have heard both things on that, didn't know it was finalized. Does the dealer charge labor on top of the 380.00?

Labor is included in the charge but it's still up to the dealer on how much they charge you since it's a dealer installed option.

That is weird. I changed my order from Black Rally's to Black Hood and Hockey stripes and it didn't change my spot. I made sure to ask if it would or not before I changed my order.
