Hurst Shifter

If you order the Hurst shifter from the factory is it this one or no?

the hurst shifter option you can order looks just like the regular shifter. wrapped in leather. but with a Hurst logo on the side.

the factory Hurst is about a 25% reduction, the real Hurst is 40-45% reduction and has a much more positive or solid feel to it. I've driven both, have the real Hurst in mine, and would recomend it over the factory unit. the factory Hurst is perfect for limp wristed drivers who want a shorter throw.

Get the real Hurst for 1/2 the price, trust me if you like the factory unit you will love the real one. It has a real solid feel to it, not the rubber mounted feel the o.e. Hurst has.

Guess I'm limp wristed.

Kiss my @ss, dude. I like the factory shifter just fine. I may also like the aftermarket shifter, but that doesn't mean you have to be judgemental and rude ...

They both are nice, you'd probably like both of them

I'm not sure if I want a Hurst or not. I know it's a more performance oriented shifter, but I have never used one before. I don't have a whole lot of experience driving a manual, but the ones that I have driven were on a Suzuki Samurai, a Toyota Corolla and a Nissan Altima, all not really performance cars.

Which reminds me, the manual Camaro I test drove, boy was the clutch weird. It's like you almost have your foot off of it and it lets out in the last little inch. Stalled it 4 times. That's something that I will have to get used to.

The clutch is very odd at first. My GTO had a nice positive smooth engagement. This one jumps off the floor and has a small area of engagement. With that said. Now that I'm used to it. I like this better. It's less tiring.
