I see your point and agree, but if it is not there GM should be expected to reduce the cost on the option period. I do not see how they could not do this.

IF you are canceling due to you not getting your precious ABL then you don't deserve a Camaro. It is a extra that is all if you want ABL so bad then install it yourself I am getting a Camaro for a CAmaro not some sparkly light that you can only see at night and that is in the interior

If it is not available at launch I doubt the problem would be technical issues. The ABL is part of the instrument panel, the tooling for those was being held hostage for liquidation at Cadence Innovation last I heard, and its possible that Cadence is claiming patent rights on a part of the system. Their previous owner (Vantage Industries) was well known for getting his fingers into patents on customer items and claiming he held the patent rights to process used to manufacturer the item etc. I think he even tried to put a patent on the air we breath at one time (sarcasm....but that how bad this guy was) Its also possible that lining up another supplier for the unique parts for this feature is taking longer than expected.
Doubtful its a technical issue because the wiz kids at GM have dealt with worse, but dealing with suppliers could certainly leave GM on the hook for awhile in terms of providing a positive date of availability for ABL. Just my humble opinion of what the ABL problem could be IF there is an ABL problem.
And yes...I probably would delay ordering the car over that when combined with the HUD issue. It would either be that or just get a bare bones 1SS and spend the difference on performance upgrades.

If your getting a camaro for a camaro then why order the RS package
since it too is only for aesthetic purposes only.

Halos= sparkly lights that can only be seen at low lights.(a pretty feature).
and I dont think nobodys going to cancel for this feature(ABL,) maybee delay
or reorder when available but not cancel all together

If it's any consolation the constraint report from the EVS guys yesterday said nothing about ABL. Of course it didn't list V8 to begin with. More to come next week...

I will not cancel my order if ABL doesn't make it. However, I DEFINITELY will seek aftermarket solutions to get it if I can't get it from the factory.

(I gave up and got a GT500) 5/11/09 - order cancelled 5/27/09 - vehicle arrived at dealership for whoever bought it after me
