So I'm about ready to try my new Zaino stuff...

Got the stuff in yesterday.. About ready to start on the wife's Jeep Liberty Renegade... It hasn't been waxed in about 5 yrs... lol.. and its black.. I am dreading this.... Gonna clay bar and all that...

Anybody that uses the z-5 stuff on black, how many coats did you have to use for light swirls, scratches, etc..?

I lost count of the coats of Zaino on my SS a looong time ago...(gotta be close to 100...if not more)

I'd start out with 2 coats of Z5 followed by a coat of Z2..(you can do only up to 3 coats in a 24 hr. period)..and see how it looks. You can "layer" as many coats of Z5 as you feel necessary...I always end up with a coat of Z2.

Alright, ended up doing the zaino on the jeep yesterday. I only put on two coats of z-5 on since I was running out of time. Between the coats I did the z-6. I can say that the stuff works awesome! The only problem I had was that the first coat wasn't dry enough to wipe down and left me with some streaks in some spots. I used some of the accelerator which called for 4-5 drops per once. I did 4 drops. I suppose I'll let it dry for an hour next time. It was kinda humid and in the 60's outside. Now the question for the Zaino masters out there- for this size vehicle, how much of zaino z-5 should have been used for two coats? I ended up using right at one once.. Two little? Too much?
Oh yeah, the Jeep was riddled with all sorts of swirls and light scratches... Z-5 did hide a lot of it!

After

With my envoy (which i think Might be a little larger than your jeep) used two ounces with 8 drops.i put three coats on and still had about a quarter left in the bottle when i was done.I try to make the coats as thin as possible.in 60 degree weather with high humidity, you may want to let it sit for an hour or more,or just wipe a small spot with your finger to see if it's dry
