Heat Reflective Tape?

whats the validity of taking a stock intake and wrapping it in reflective tape to save money on a CAI???

The purpose (to me) of the CAI is not just the cooler air part, but increased air flow, you can really hear and feel the difference it makes. Dont do that to your car it will look like schitt too.
