I'm glad the AF did away with those stickers. Hated having them on my vehicles...especially the thought of having to put one on something nice like the camaro, or when I had my mustang. Read a story here a week ago that they are doing away with them at the Naval Weapons Station here in Charleston due to the base merger to.

Very sorry for your loss and THANK YOU for both your husbands and your service to our country !!!!

I work at Kirtland AFB in New Mexico as a contractor. KAFB no longer has window stickers for vehichles, just use your CAC card for access to the base. I believe all military bases are going to this system but don't know the schedule.

I used to live not too far from Ft Dix, how are things in NJ ?

I don't like putting stickers on any of my vehicles. They really look ugly after they start fading and chipping. Fort Eustis did away with them recently. I am holding out for the Navy to follow suit. I'm actually stationed on a privately owned shipyard so i don't have to deal with stickers for right now. I was able to score a year long pass from little creek that works on all Navy bases. I guess that will have to suffice until the navy follows suit.

I prefer mine in the lower drivers side. They usually let you choose, but prefer the top center. Once on, though, I've yet to see a base or post make you replace it.

As for those cracking jokes about revoking thinking privileges, I'm a retired disabled AF veteran of over 21 years and frankly if you haven't developed a sense of humor about the military and the way they sometimes treat you, I'm surprised you're still in. It's not disrespectful, it's having a sense of humor. And as service members, we shoudl respect that particular aspect of the 1st amendment. Keep right on joking folks, we've all earned that right for you.

And to my comrades in arms and their families, thanks for your service and your sacrifice.

I thought they don't use them anymore. Air force bases no longer issue them. I don't have one on my car. They stopped doing it because it made you a target.

depends on which base you are at, McChord is starting to go back to them because the Army is taking over our base.

instead of McChord AFB its Joint base Lewis McChord. or JBLM lol.

I thought where you put them depended on the base you're at? My dad puts his and my moms at the top in the middle above the mirror. I also see some people with it on the bottom left above the registration. Also, but their plates are from out of town.
