WORST SERVICE GUY EVER!!!

Please listen and hear the phone call I got from the local service department.
Did you know that at chevy dealers one survey will get you $500??!!!
By the way, their service was slow, but I still put very satisfied on the survey.

I wanted my survey in the worst way a few months ago but never got it. I would play that for the general manager at the dealership to show him the quality of his/her employees.

If it's very satisfied, then why is it costing him $500???

I took a car in for warranty work two weeks ago and right on the ticket was a sticker that reminded me they needed all "Completely Satisfied". Followup phone call and letter two days later. Unreal.

I don't live too far from the dealership- next thing I expect is two thugs showing up at my door threatening to break my legs if I don't give the right answers.

In the skewed world of customer service surveys - anything short of perfect is a fail. And that fail is tied to a bonus.

I had all intentions of giving the max scores, cause I know what you mean. But I really must have just missed it because my thumb is too big on my phone. Cause I could really care less about the survey (until I get phone calls like this)

I would of paid that guy a visit, played back the recording, and asked him what he was going to do for me to keep my mouth shut. That recording could cost him his job.

I am a service advisor....he is probably right. Some dealers base the pay of the advisors on gross profit %. If the survey scores on question 16 are not COMPLETELY SATISFIED your % drops from 17 to say 13....that can change a guys check from lets say $2,000 to $1,400. The service advisor gets the shaft for a question that has to do with the whole dealership and not the advisor. Bottom line....if you like your advisor mark question 16 COMPLETELY satisfied because if you mark it very satisfied your only screwing them. It sucks, but its the way the system works.

i would just go to the boss and talk to him about the situation. regardless of how screwy the system is, thats completely unprofessional and the next time you go in for some service he will most likely try to screw you in some way because of it. no matter what the case is thats not acceptable in any place of business.

You are correct you should never call a customer and confront them about the bad survey in that manner. Might call and ask them what to do next time to make sure they are completely satisfied.

I didn't know that it worked that way. And I really had no intention of giving him anything other than complete. I just think my thumb hit the wrong one when doing it on my iPhone.
I figured I would just vent here and let it go, rather then mess with the guys lively hood but telling his manager.
