Yeah that's probably the best looking Cobalt I've ever seen.

Considering I have had great success with SLP with my Trans Am, I will be buying all my aftermarket exhaust from them.

If the "functional" hood looks aesthetically pleasing, sure. Not too keen on the hood shown on the SLP brocure. Too gawdy and does not flow with the lines of the Camaro..Opening needs to be more forward.

After the powertrain warranty expires?

Magnuson....And 3.73 gearing..

They should work just fine. The HOT cam actually has less lift (.525/.525 I/E) compared to the stock LS3 (.551/.525 I/E), but more duration (219*/228* I/E @.050") for HOT cam, (204/211) for LS3.

You would still need new valve springs, though. But if you're already buying a cam, and you're wanting something with around .600" peak lift anyway, you might as well just get a cam with that lift and whatever duration you want, because the rockers are as expensive as the cam. No point in doing both. Unless you're running a huge cam, that is. If you have a huge cam with high spring pressures and high RPM's, you might want to upgrade your valvetrain to something more durable.

I wonder if they will come back with the power pacs. I remember thinking before I had a car, and I was eying up the 4th gen that it was so convenient to just buy a package of parts to get XXX number of ponies.

saw a pic .... looks like the 2000 SS hood (which was an SLP hood), which I owned unitl it's demise when taken out by a red light running K-Car. Yes , the Kcar was clicking about 70 kmh , I was turning into a Coffe shop in 2003, no suitable SS remaining at dealers to replce it!! Now's my time aha!

You do know that mods do not necessarily effect warranty ?

Don't get me wrong, I think that is 1 of the best engines GM has built recently and I wouldn't mind having a CTS with it, but the v8 tops it. The LS series is ahead of the pack when it comes to efficiency...

In any model lineup please tell me where the v6 is the top model over a v8.
Honestly I think the Dodge V6 cummins outdoes the Chevy V8 diesel...(sorry, I'd still buy the Chevy over the Dodge truck anyway, the Duramax with the Allison is amazing!!)
There are usually quite a bit less moving parts in a V6 as well. Less to break.

I loved the comment about Web Dynos LMAO!! Good stuff.

Don't get me wrong... I love the roar of a V8, but I can't say it's "superior" to the V6... especially this new V6 GM made. NICE! It all depends on what you consider better... if you ask me the best motor out there is the 4 cyl. Honda S2000 motor, it has the highest HPisplacement ratio on the market! Could you imagine how much HP the 6.2L V8 would be cranking!!!

Yes I understand..

Magnuson....$8900

Should give me some time to save, thus the wait for the warranty.

It (failure) has to be proven that the aftermarket part caused whatever failure.

Kind of funny how you worded your reply "mods do not necessarily effect warranty".

I'm sure slp will have power packs. The only problem is you can get MUCH MUCH MOre for less $$ elswhere. SLP has pretty shitty customer service (from first hand) and thier prices are often quite high.
