New Camaro orders 6/23 6-8 weeks or 6-8 months?

Which is it I have had about a 50/50 estimate from about 10 local dealerships.

I am pretty sure none actually have any allocations at the moment either. 6-8 Weeks and 6-8 months is a pretty HUGE difference on a estimated time frame.

Im waiting on my allocation but my dealer & most of the AL dealers I had spoke to told me 12 to 15 weeks after my order is placed. One dealer told me in late May that I'd get the car next year but then 3 days later I found out they got the GM ax the day before (dunno if that had anything to do with it).

depends on the dealership.

If they are selling volume, you're looking at 6-8 weeks, since they'll be getting more allocations. If they're being stingy and the cars aren't flying out the door, then yeah, 6-8 months would be about right.

6-8 months sounds pretty absurd... considering that some May orders are arriving right about now, or very soon...

Since the middle of May seems as though things have picked up but I would say 3/4 months at the least if you haven't ordered yet. If no allocations not sure.

If dealerships are getting the AXE do you think they already know about it? If so would they still attempt to take $500 down on a Camaro and sell you one?

Go with the 6-8 months....then if it comes in earlier, you'll be a happy and pleasantly surprised Camaro owner!!

I ordered 5/14/09 and haven't moved so far -1000. I don't know if my dealer has got an allocatoin for my car or what. I did not call this past week because I did not want to hear the same story( YOU'LL BE THE FIRST TO KNOW IF THERE IS ANY CHANGE).

No (if what I read is correct). Dealers on the closure list can not order Camaros because they are a 2010 MY car. All they can order while still open are 2009's and there is a cutoff for that too based on the closure date. Again, just what I read.

Did you ask him originally if he had any allocations? What dealer did you order from?

Yes, they know... GM sent out letters a few weeks ago. There is a thread here about it somewhere...
