High oil pressure?

Hey all-

I recently got a new 14 2LT V6. I'm at about 1400 miles on it... I've noticed on my 4pack gauge, my oil pressure is usually tached... Either around 1500 Rpms, or 50-60mph... Or if I'm accelerating.

Now while this is happening my oil temp hasn't moved, or gotten hotter.

Is this okay? Is it normal?
Here's a pic at about 50mph coasting (sorry it's blurry)

I have a 2012 2LT/RS V6. Your readings sound normal. Continue to watch, you should notice a difference in oil pressures when the car is running cold vs fully warmed up. When the car is warm: for kicks on the highway put your foot into it, your oil pressure will increase as you accelerate, then level your speed and RPMs off and watch the oil pressure decrease. Oil temp and engine water temp will run parallel, roughly about the same. Always check your oil level on a regular basis. Enjoy your Camaro.

Dan55,

Congrats on the Camaro, though I'm sorry to see you're having concerns with the oil pressure reading. We are able to communicate this matter to the Customer Experience Managers (CEM) at your preferred GM dealer if you feel an official GM diagnosis is necessary. Please know that you're welcome to message us privately if you'd like to proceed, or if you simply want your experience(s) officially documented.

Kind regards,

William R.
