How to get paint off the engine cover?

Ok I spent this weekend trying to repaint my engine cover and as it turns out the paint was not sticking for some reason to the primer i used. So now I am in the process taking the paint off so I can start over and I am using paint thinner and I am getting it off for the most part but I was trying to find a faster way to get the paint off.

Soft bead blasting is your only other alternative, unless you just soft scuff the plastic which would also work!

Use a hot air gun. I took the paint off mine with it and the paint just peeled right off.

Nail polish remover or a paint thinner is the best way that I can think of.

Yea I have been sanding it some to get some of the primer off but I thought about using my heat gun and see if that works too.

Go and get some plastic safe paint remover! Spray it on and blast if off with the water hose...you'll need a nozle for that. Do Not Scrape the paint off! Just keep doing that until you get all of the paint off. I can strip a fully painted engine cover in under 10 minutes!

I used a gas soaked rag. Looks brand new. Not recommended, but I don't recommend just about anything I do!
