Front brembos are standard on the 11 GT. So I can see why it is an option but $0.

If they added the brembo package for the base GT that would be the performance bargain. Around $32k for the 3.73s and brembos. It would be a great value.

Whether it sticks around and grows a price-tag I cannot say, but the currently zero dollar Brembo option you can select for the base Mustang GT is indeed the vaunted upgrade seen in almost every comparison held thus far. How can I tell? When in the 'build your own' screen, if you click on the Brembo Brake Package, you will notice that the visual representation of the car you are building changes wheels, showing the 19" pieces that come with the Brembo Brake Package. If this was anything other than the BBP that shouldn't happen.

My guess, Ford is still undecided as to whether they should offer this on the base GT, what it should cost on non Premium cars if they do, or both.

I agree the site is very very confusing. I think they flubbed that part. Honestly we have to wait till they hit the street and people actually order them to know.

Their is a price difference on the brembo brake package from the base to the premium. The package should be around $1700 option. But on the base gt it is $0.

i priced it out at $37,300, my only gripe is the California Edition has a nice lower front with the fog lights, but it has an ugly billet grill and black side stripes...

and when you add the California package, it removes the Brembos... whats up with that?

I have no idea on that.

The site is buggy though and I don't think the final prices are set in stone from that site. You can't go directly to the main ford site and build a 2011 Mustang yet.

It's no surprise. Ford claims the mustang 5.0 is putting out 412 HP however, dyno pulls from various sources indicate 430-435 HP may be more accurate. The LS3 equipped Camaro is rated 422 HP and the L99 400 HP. Now, in these videos, you see a 412 HP (430-435) AUTO tranny mustang going against what as best I can tell appears to be an L99 equipped AUTO Camaro 400 HP. The mustang has an obvious power and weight advantage.

i was thinking the same thing, the auto vs auto is more one sided, would like to see m6 vs m6. this video looks like a ford marketing tool for the forums
